Merrow D is setting the early pace in the First Division. Another 9-1 victory, against Godalming E,  giving them a healthy lead. John Grant and Scott Ayers were unbeaten with Shaun Newbold supporting with a pair. Even with only two players Godalming D maintained their 100% record with a 6-4 success against College HIll B. Yawei Wang secured a full house with team mate Fei Fei Pei winning twice. The only other perfect record in the division is that of Challoner B who beat Aftermath A 7-3. Steve Collins recorded a maximum with Trevor Spraggs supporting with a pair. This was matched by Aftermath’s Steve Pearce.

In the Fourth Division College Hill F boasts a perfect record after two matches. Their latest whitewash was against Godalming M with Rick Clement, Richard Abbey and Dick Tull winning the points. Their closest rivals, Emmanuel and Challoner C shared the spoils with Challoner’s Chris Ray undefeated. Keith Brown and Stephen Schofield each won twice for Emmanuel. Abinger B eased past Godalming N 6-4 with Jim Faulkner winning all three for Abinger and team mate John Whittlesea grabbing a brace. Rob Chatwin won a couple for Godalming.

Already the Second Division appears to be very tight with no team having a perfect record after two matches. Woking LTC A shared the points with Aftermath C with no player unbeaten. Dave Wilson and Martin Strutt each won twice for Aftermath as did Woking’s Richard Hitchcox. Merrow G eased past their F team 6-4 with James Selby winning all three for the G team supported by Carole Ingram with a couple. Tim Ngyou won a couple for the F team.

In the Premier Division Ash A and Godalming C split the points with two players from each side winning a couple, Eliot Tilley and Rob Gladstone for Ash and Tony Harrild and Manoj Shah for Godalming. Godalming B and College hIll A also shared the points with College Hill’s Phil Harrison unbeaten. Robin Honey and Danielle Kelly each won twice for Godalming. Godalming A could well be a force this season demonstrated by their 7-3 victory over Merrow A. Adam Laws and newcomer Federico Viterbo were both unbeaten for Godalming.
