A few cup matches were played last week but most teams had byes. Probably the most interesting match was Bramley E’s Last Two encounter with College Hill D. In a very tight match the star player was Bramley’s Gary Nicholson who was undefeated in his team’s 6-3 success. He was ably supported by Stephen Pinn who notched a pair as did Derek Hubbard for College Hill.

In the Intermediate Cup Cody A thrashed Ash B with Dario Cereda and Paul Shakespeare picking up full houses and Kin Chan only losing out to Mike Levey.

In the latest round of matches in the First Division Bramley A maintained their 100% record with an 8-2 thrashing of Ash B. Peter Palmer and Nick Gould notched up trios for Bramley. Burymead C also have a perfect record after a 9-1 mauling of Merrow E. Ian Farley & Tim Goodship picked up the full houses whilst Mark Batt-Rawden bagged a brace. Bramley B picked up  their first win, 6-4, against Cody A. They even managed it with just two players with Kerry East winning all her three and Geoff Nevitt grabbing a couple. Woking LTC A appears to possess the player of the division in the shape of Martin Chodounsky. Yet another full house was picked up in the demolition of Aftermath B. John Koenigsberger and Kevin Bown supported him well with pairs. Lena Krecsmar and Tony Harrild both managed maximums for Godalming C in their win over Aftermath A.

In the Third Division College Hill D just maintained their 100% record with a 6-4 success over their E team. Derek Hubbard had the bragging rights with a full house whilst Steve Clement won two both of these for the D team. Paul Tanton won twice for the E team. Ash D kept their unbeaten record by sharing the spoils with Challoner C. Sandy Simpson won all three for Ash with Tony Harrison winning twice which Tom Taylor-Woodward also did, this for Challoner. Godalming G took Abinger’s unbeaten record with a 6-4 win thanks to pairs from Sajiv Swamy and Helen Ross but the best player of the evening was Abinger’s Mike Hughes who picked up a full house. The battle between Bramley D and E was won by the E team, 7-3, but they were helped by the D team only having two players. Bob Holmden and David Barraclough were both unbeaten for the E team. After a shaky start Aftermath E is now into its stride taking Merrow F’s unbeaten record with a 8-2 result. Alan Sherwin and Dave Thomas were both unbeaten for Aftermath. Young Danielle Kelly, for Godalming F,continues to improve on a weekly basis. She picked up a pair in an 8-2 victory over Cody B. Her father, Chris, got his customary three and Alan Lewell won twice.
